PORTABLE DISCOVERER FAULT DETECTOR
Portable device for rapid detection of permanent faults on overhead medium voltage grids
The Portable discoverer unit is designed to detect permanent faults on 50 Hz and 60 Hz medium voltage lines. It is capable to detect single-phase to ground faults without any direct connection to the lines. It is generally used to carry out the operations of troubleshooting along lines without protective relays or other fault detection devices.
Benefits
Thanks to its sensor it can detect faut condition without any direct connection to MV line.
Fault detection can be performed at a safety distance from the faulty MV asset.
Quick detection of the fault and the consequent restoration of the service.
Features
- Fault detection using an integrated inductive sensor.
- Noise warning for fault detection.
- Record event with date, time and type of failure.
- Acquisition of event log via USB port.
